There will be meeting at 7pm in the Old Bank Building, Western House - Coalisland - Thursday 7 April 2016 (TOMORROW NIGHT). Its an open forum to decide actions needed to put forward the demands of the Irish Language community in the election on the 5 May 2016.
As part of this meeting, we will have an opportunity, as part of the language community, to discuss priorities leading up to the election next month. It is an open meeting and everyone present will be made very welcome and will be able to participate. This comes at a decisive time with both the Strategy for the Irish Language and the Irish Language Act being refused once again by the Executive and the Irish medium sector still under continuing threat. We must look be forward-looking, discuss these challenges and agree action to solve them.

Ceiliúrfar Gaelscoil Uí Néill, an chéad Ghaelscoil i dTír Eoghain, fiche bliain ar an saol le hoíche mhór i gcaitheadh seachtain na Gaeilge. Tionólfar bunaitheoirí, tuistí, bord na ngobharnóirí, múinteoirí agus pobal mór na scoile le chéile ar an Aoine 11 Márta san Óstán Ghleann Glas, An Chorr Chríochach le súil siar a chaitheamh ar an turas dochreidte curtha díobh ó bunaíodh an scoil agus le hamharc chun chinn ar an todhchaí gheal atá atá rompu. Tyrone's first ever Gaelscoil is set to celebrate its 20th anniversary during Seachtain na Gaeilge. Founder members, parents, board of governors, teachers, former pupils, and the large school community will come together on Fri March 11th in the Greenvale Hotel, Cookstown to look back on the tremendous journey taken since its inception and to look forward to the bright future ahead. It promises to be a momentous occasion and the school are also producing a commemorative booklet which will be out to mark the event.
